The speech of President Klaus Johannis, held today in Cernavoda today, pointed out some essential themes for the nuclear industry: the role of nuclear energy in the energy mix and ensuring energy security, the failure of the energy market (Market Failure) that by rapidly lowering prices cannot support the investments, with dramatic effects, with the state of energy, in the future, in the futureFacilitating investments and forming the human resource, but also the loss of the qualified workforce in the field, the role of the horizontal local industry (Supply Chain).
From the speech it appears that the presence of the president in Cernavoda also has the role of boosting the negotiations for units 3 and 4, an investment that, in addition to the mentioned economic advantages, will bring a much expected perspective for the future of those who work here, as at the time it brought it unit 2, both in the exploitation of the boiler and to the building."In addition, very beneficial effects appear, certainly, on the labor market.Studies show that about 16,000 additional jobs are created in the related industry and you, taken together”, In full consonance with the estimates of the industry.
The representatives of the nuclear industry in Romania appreciate the positive signals transmitted by President Johannis on the activity in the nuclear sector. The visit, respectively the meeting with the employees of the Nuclearoelectric (CNE) power plant in Cernavoda, comes a few months after the report on units 3 and 4 from Cernavoda CNE during the Supreme Council of Defense of the Country. We consider these steps as encouraging for the future of the nuclear industry in Romania, this being a peak, both nationally and internationally.
The Cernavoda power plant is one of the major pieces of critical infrastructure, energy security and clean energy suppliers. It is also significant to associate the visit with the 20 years since the commercial operating of unit 1, an event that will effectively meet on December 2, 2016.
The realization of the project is beneficial for Romania, by reaching a share of 30 - 32% for nuclear energy in the national energy mix, by commissioning the two new nuclear units: "I think it would be very good to go to the area maybe 30% and then we have a fairly well -shaped target" COM(2015) 80 final, entitled "A framework strategy for a resilient energy union with a prospective policy in the field of climate change", on February 25, 2015, ensuring consumers' access with accessible and competitive prices.
The participation of the Romanian nuclear industry at the end of units 3 and 4 Cernavoda means, first of all, the enhancement of the investments made in the past, of the equipment and production spaces intended for the manufacture of components and equipment, as well as their installation, for Candu 6 type nucleelectric units.
