General framework

The elaboration of a new energy strategy for Romania has currently become a priority, in close coordination with the defense strategy, the energy security being an essential objective of each member country of the European Union.

According to the obligations that our country has assumed in front of the European Commission regarding the achievement of the targets to reduce the CO 2 emissions, the nuclear energy investments and the renewable energy have been assumed as a priority for the next years.

Against this background, the continuation of the nuclear program becomes implicitly part of the obligations of Romania, but also a strategic and energy security necessity.

However, the continuation of the nuclear program has no effects only on the national energy system.The entire economy of Romania can benefit from this program, all the more so as we managed to keep certain economic units certified by international bodies, which could have a consistent contribution to this investment.
