ROMATOM aplaudă lansarea Asociației Școala Națională pentru Energie Nucleară

In a significant step towards strengthening nuclear education in Romania, the Polytechnic University of Bucharest hosted, on Friday, the General Assembly for the establishment of the Association National School for Nuclear Energy (Snen).

Romatom, representing the nuclear industry in Romania, was present at the event, marking this important moment for the energy future of Romania.

The main purpose of SNEN is to provide a specialized education and training platform, intended to increase the number of well -trained specialists for both the national and European labor market, in the field of nuclear energy and related areas.Through this initiative, the bases are laid for a better integration of Romania in the European energy landscape, with an emphasis on innovation and nuclear safety.

Teodor Chirica, one of the three founders and honorary president of Romatom and also the chairman of the Board of Directors of Nuclearelectrica, said that "The launch of the National School Association for Nuclear Energy is a defining moment not only for nuclear education in Romania, but also for the entire nuclear industry. By this initiative, we make sure that we will have the constant flow of young specialists, well trained, to support the innovations and ambitious projects of the nuclear.The importance of nuclear energy for a sustainable future.

President Interim Romatom, Daniel Predescu, emphasized the importance of training specialists from the initial stages of education: "As Nuclearelectrica, the regulatory and research part needs specialists, and the industry part to support nuclear energy needs specialists. We try, through the projects that Nuclearelectrica hires, and there are ambitious projects, to ensure a local component of equipment and services as possible - to have the most consistent.Material

The launch of SNEN is an important moment in the preparation of future nuclear energy specialists, emphasizing the importance of close collaboration between the academic and industry sector.The initiative is seen as a vital step in ensuring a robust local supply chain and promoting innovation and excellence in the nuclear field, essential elements for a sustainable and safe energy.

Evenimentul a reunit reprezentanți ai celor 12 universități fondatoare, instituții de profil, precum NEA-OECD, Ministerul Educației, Ministerul Muncii și Solidarității Sociale, Societatea Națională Nuclearelectrica S.A., FCN Pitești, CNCAN, RO POWER, RATEN, RATEN-CITON, IFIN-HH, ROMATOM, și studenți pasionați de domeniul energiei. Această diversitate de participanți reflectă angajamentul larg răspândit pentru dezvoltarea educației nucleare în România.

The purpose of Snen is the formation, promotion and support of the specific education of the fields of activity represented by the nuclear energy and/or its related fields, in order to increase the rate of participation and integration on the European labor market of the specialists in these fields of activity.
