Hungary \u2013 Deputy CEO &amp; Chief Generation Officer<\/li>\n<li>Peter Farkas - Slovenske Elektrarne \/ Jaslovske Bohunice NPP Director<\/li>\n<li>Borislav BOEV &#8211; Kozloduy NPP New Buildings PLC, Bulgaria, Chief Expert &#8222;Project Development&#8221; WEC Bulgaria, Secretary of Bulgarian Member Committee<\/li>\n<li>Venko Stoev - Fel Bulgaria<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Participation in Foren 2024 offered Romatom an ideal framework to keep discussions about the vital benefits of nuclear energy for the energy mix of Romania.In the current geopolitical context and in constant search for energy independence, nuclear energy offers a reliable and long -lasting alternative.The debates and presentations have underlined the importance of adopting new technologies, such as small modular reactors (SMRs), which promise to redefine the energy landscape through increased flexibility and efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>See below the registration of the session dedicated to the nuclear industry:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/b914Len0zGQ?si=gxuB6RMDhKe8oF6j\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>In this edition of Foren, the Centenary of the World Energy Council (WEC) was also celebrated.<\/p>\n<p>Invited to the Foren opening was and <strong>Energy Minister Sebastian Burduja<\/strong>.Here are the most important statements of the minister: <em>\"We participated in Foren-Wec Central &amp; Eastern Europe Regional Energy Forum, organized by CNR-CME. Energy professionals form a special community, full of quality people. It was a pleasure to discuss the state, challenges and opportunities of the energy sector in Central and Eastern Europe and our steps for a safe, accessible energy.<\/em><\/p>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><em>I was happy to meet my friend from the Republic of Moldova, Victor Parlicov, one of the best energy ministers in the world.<\/em><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><em>This year, we managed to orient the investments on the right path, putting billions of euros to work:<\/em><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><em>\u2022 Investment 1 of PNRR was a success: 2000 MW of new energy production capacities from renewable sources.<\/em><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><em>\u2022 We complete the call for hydrogen capabilities (EUR 100 million), which will be launched soon.<\/em><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><em>\u2022 The modernization of CETs in Craiova, Constan\u021ba, Arad and R\u00e2mnicu V\u00e2lcea begins, followed by those in Bucharest.<\/em><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><em>\u2022 I started the construction of CET Titan, the first new CET in Bucharest in the last 15 years.<\/em><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><em>\u2022 I signed no less than 60 contracts with UATs for self-consumption production.<\/em><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><em>\u2022 About 1 billion euros were contracted for the modernization of transport and distribution networks.<\/em><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><em>Also:<\/em><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><em>\u2022 The support scheme for storage capacities remains the zero priority.<\/em><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><em>\u2022 The Tarni\u021ba-L\u0103pu\u0219te\u0219ti project is close to the completion of the feasibility study.<\/em><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><em><strong>\u2022 The civilian nuclear program advances significantly, for both units 3 and 4 in Cernavoda and for SMRs.<\/strong><\/em><\/div>\n<div dir=\"auto\"><em>\u2022 The East-West interconitor through a high voltage cable is in the phase of feasibility study.<\/em><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><em>I accelerated on all levels!The energy strategy of Romania, recent in public debate, together with PNIESC, will put orders in the development of the national energy sector.<\/em><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"x11i5rnm xat24cr x1mh8g0r x1vvkbs xtlvy1s\">\n<div dir=\"auto\"><em>There are a few days of intense discussions at Foren for a safe, accessible and green energy!
