
More than a presence at an event, the participation of the Romanian Atomic Forum (Romatom) at Foren 2024 (WEC Central & Eastern Energy Forum) was a demonstration of its continuous commitment to promote members and supply chain in Romania.By active involvement in such events, Romatom not only supports the development of the energy sector, but also contributes to the strengthening of a strong and informed professional community.
Dozens of people visited the Romatom stand, scanned the QR-Cods that send to the LinkedIn websites / pages of our members and found information about the stage of the nuclear sector projects, etc.
The Regional Energy Forum of Central and Eastern Europe (Foren) 2024, held on June 16-19, brought together, in Neptune, leaders and experts in the energy sector.The event, reached its 17th edition, has gathered over 70 speakers in 10 debate sessions, completed by four technical works and an international exhibition.Under the theme "rethinking the future of the world through a safe, clean and effective energy", Foren 2024 stressed the importance of innovative and sustainable solutions in the energy field.More than 300 people participated in the opening session of the event.
Besides, One of the panels of the event was dedicated to nuclear energy in Central and Eastern Europe, with a moderate discussion by Teodor Chirica, president of the Board of Directors at Nuclearelectrica and honorary chairman of Romatom.In this context, Bogdan Termegan, the director of Romatom operations, contributed with the prospects regarding the evolution and sustainability of nuclear energy and, in particular, the new technologies in the field: small modular reactors.

Participation in Foren 2024 offered Romatom an ideal framework to keep discussions about the vital benefits of nuclear energy for the energy mix of Romania.In the current geopolitical context and in constant search for energy independence, nuclear energy offers a reliable and long -lasting alternative.The debates and presentations have underlined the importance of adopting new technologies, such as small modular reactors (SMRs), which promise to redefine the energy landscape through increased flexibility and efficiency.
