ABOUT US

EN is the project company for the development of CANDU Units 3 and 4 at Cernavoda NPP.

The company is in an extensive process of team growth and training, as well as contracting the services and works necessary to achieve the project objectives with a recruitment strategy that envisages the growth of the EnergoNuclear team by approx. 20 people in the Preparatory Stage of the project, and approx. 100 people in the next stage.

Since its establishment, EN's activities have focused on the management and achievement of the technical and nuclear safety objectives and activities that must be implemented in the Pre-Project phase in order to obtain the Construction License. The activities that will be carried out subsequently, during the Project implementation phase by the Main Contractor that will be selected, are the following: execution design, authorizations and licenses, equipment procurement, assembly, Commissioning, commencement of commercial operation. 

Since its establishment, EN's activities have focused on managing the technical and nuclear safety objectives and tasks to be implemented in the pre-project phase. The main achievements are related to:

  • Notification under Article 41 of the Euratom Treaty
  • Environmental agreement
  • Comfort letter from the regulatory body
  • Inspection and evaluation of existing assets
  • Feasibility study
  • BIS invitation specification

Remarks  Only activities necessary to obtain the construction license and to meet the requirements of the project schedule will be carried out. No construction work will be carried out in the pre-project phase.
