Romatom, the Nuclear Industry Association of Romania, informs you that the Ministry of Energy has opened today for public consultation the project of the Energy Strategy of Romania for the period 2025-2035, extended until 2050.

This represents a determining moment for aligning the energy sector to the objectives of climatic neutrality, also supporting the economic growth and the general transformation of the economy.

The document is available for public debate until July 13 and will be subsequently subsequently for approval within the Government.Through its diversified energy mix and the natural, financial and human resources it has, Romania has the unique opportunity to modernize the energy sector, contributing significantly to improving the quality of life of citizens and industrial consumers.In the elaboration of this strategy, the Ministry of Energy has collaborated with experts, companies and institutions in the field, without resorting to external consulting or additional expenses from the state budget.

All interested parties are encouraged to participate and express their opinions to ensure that the document reflects the needs and aspirations of all the actors in the industry.We urge you to examine the document and contribute with your suggestions and opinions.

1. Consolidation of current capacities;
2. ⁠ expansion through measures that encourage the development of certain business opportunities identified by the current activity and which require support (equipment, personnel training, authorizations);
3. ⁠ major expansion in new activity areas through new production facilities, broad qualifications of personnel, international expansion.

Romatom will centralize all the proposals and send to the Ministry of Energy a position document.This is an excellent opportunity to influence the direction of Romania's energy policy.We look forward to your contributions until July 9.
