The nuclear industry has lost an extraordinary man, a specialist, a man who dedicated his life to the development of the nuclear industry in Romania, the professional who contributed essentially to the positioning of Romania in the top of the nuclear industry.

Mr. Șerban Valeca was a doctor in industrial sciences and university professor, governor of Romania at the International Agency for Atomic Energy in Vienna, president of the Scientific Council of the Nuclear Research Institute and former Minister of Research and Innovation.

40 years of experience in the nuclear industry, an experience that came out of passion, from the desire to put Romania on the international map of nuclear energy, from the extraordinary will to develop, to build, to grow people.Mr. Șerban Valeca was general director for the coordination of the national nuclear program Unit 2 Cernavoda, the man and the direct expert involved in the commissioning of the 2 nuclear unit in Romania.

The generations of nuclearists of Cernavoda CNE thank them and continues to confirm and strengthen their expertise and passion.

Appreciated teacher, author of many specialized publications, research reports and patent holder, Mr. Serban Valeca inspired and guided generations for professional excellence in the nuclear industry.
